White Villages of Huelva Private Roundtrip

Description

The slate that makes up this mountain range gives it a hilly character, with gentle slopes, where large valleys with pastures alternate with peaks crowned by dense forests and narrow, almost magical ravines, through which the main river axes run: Ribera del Chanza, Múrtigas and Ribera de Huelva. At the highest altitudes, where limestone takes center stage, the most unique geological forms appear, such as the Gruta de las Maravillas in Aracena, or the travertines of Alájar and Zufre, linked to water sources. Granite is also present, as in the Peñas de Aroche batholith, which contains the rich metal veins that have conditioned the intense mining activity in the region: Minas de Cala or the Coto Minero de Teuler.

A trip to the interior of Andalusia on a tour of beautiful whitewashed villages where the gastronomy is known worldwide for its hams and sausages. The trip takes us into the local culture and a mountain architecture characteristic of the interior.
