From Jaen: Ubeda & Baeza Private Day Trip

Description

Explore with us two of Andalusia's most monumental cities on a World Heritage route filled with Renaissance corners and cobblestone alleyways that will surprise you to see in the South.

When you travel to Andalusia, that image of whitewashed villages, with brightly lit streets, seems to be the prototype every traveler hopes to find of an Andalusian town. A prototype of a town with white facades that shatters upon arriving in Úbeda and Baeza, before the astonished gaze of its visitors.

Two emblematic cities in the province of Jaén, separated by just under 10 kilometers, but which together represent a journey back in time through two of Andalusia's most monumental cities that will undoubtedly surprise you.

In Úbeda, we will visit Vázquez de Molina Square. A marvel.

The square itself is a work of art. A simple 360-degree turn will take you through less than a minute to see why this city was declared a World Heritage Site.

We'll visit the Sacred Chapel of the Savior, a masterpiece by Diego de Siloé, the result of which is a church worthy of the finest Italian Renaissance. Spectacular.

The wonderful Collegiate Church of Santa María de los Reales Alcázares is one of the best examples of how the passage of time and the history of the city have changed its appearance. Within it, an ancient Roman temple honoring the goddess Diana, Bronze Age remains, and a Muslim mosque have been discovered. And right across from it, we find the popularly known Palacio de las Cadenas, now the city's town hall.

We then travel to Baeza to visit its cathedral and the Castilian quarter, unique in southern Spain, where tranquility and serenity reign supreme.
