From Granada: Private visit to Oil Mill

Nestled in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park and just 15 minutes from Granada, the traditional olive oil mill we will visit produces high-quality olive oil at an altitude of over 900 meters in a privileged natural setting.

An ecological experience where we will discover the production process of Spain's "liquid gold." The fruit of the Sierra Nevada olive trees is a delicacy in itself, grown in a natural environment with unique characteristics. Turning this fruit into extra virgin olive oil of the same quality requires special experience and resources, along with careful processing that is passed down from generation to generation.

At the scheduled time, we will travel from Granada to the olive mill for a private guided tour of the olive grove. A walk through the grove will reveal the history and evolution of the olive since its introduction by the Greeks. We will continue the visit inside the mill to learn about the production and marketing process of extra virgin olive oil. We'll do a tasting to learn about the different oils we consume and thus be able to differentiate their qualities and uses. After the visit, we'll return to Granada.
