From Granada: Malaga Highlights private full day trip

Capital of the Costa del Sol, this city has quickly become a modern city over the last twenty years, however it managed to preserve its essential character. Cosmopolitan, the city of Malaga has maintained its welcoming appearance despite the enormous influence of tourism.

The day trip begins with pickup at a hotel or apartment in Granada to transfer to the capital of the Costa del Sol. Upon arrival, we take a complete guided tour of the main monuments of the city. We will visit the cathedral of Malaga, where the north tower stands out, this tower rises up to 84 meters high, being the second tallest cathedral in Andalusia, behind the Giralda in Seville. The south tower is unfinished. This condition gives the Malaga Cathedral the nickname ‘La Manquita’. Of different styles, we will visit its interior and the different spaces. We continue the visit to the Alcazaba of Malaga.


The citadel is a fortress of great historical relevance, it stands as a point of tourist interest that combines history and beauty. This Muslim citadel is strategically located at foot of Mount Gibralfaro, adjacent to the Arab defensive Castle, connected by the protected corridor of walls known as La Coracha.

Located near the Roman Theater and in front of the Customs building, the Alcazaba represents a fusion of Roman, Arab and Renaissance cultures in a compact space, making this site an exceptional place.


Finish your visit through the historic center of the city, walking through what was the old Jewish quarter to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.After lunch, we will visit the Picasso Málaga museum. The museum responds to the artist’s desire for his work to be present in the city of Malaga. where he was born in 1881. Its creation is due to the shared will of Christine and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, daughter-in-law and grandson of the artist.


The 233 works in the Museo Picasso Málaga Collection encompass Picasso’s revolutionary innovations, as well as the wide variety of material styles and techniques he mastered. From the first academic studies to his personal vision of classicism, from the superimposed planes of cubism to his research with ceramics, from his interpretation of the great masters to the latest paintings of the seventies.At the end of the visit, transfer back to Granada.
