From Granda: Caminito del Rey private hiking

Description

The Alhambra, the Giralda, the Mosque of Córdoba... All of them great monuments of humanity. Unparalleled and unrepeatable in all their artistic and architectural beauty. But then comes 2015...

That year, Andalusia shows the world a place that has nothing to do with the monumentality of Al-Andalus, nor with the Baroque of Andalusian imagery. An exceptional tourist resource, a unique natural space (with the permission of Doñana, Cabo de Gata, and Sierra Nevada, to name a few), due to the combination of elements such as industry, nature, and culture, that year, the so-called Caminito del Rey reopened after being refurbished.

The Caminito del Rey is a trail area built into the walls of the Gaitanes Gorge. It is a path attached to the aforementioned gorge, approximately 3 kilometers long, with long stretches and a width of only 1 meter. It begins in the municipality of Ardales, passes through Antequera, and ends in El Chorro (Álora).

This trail hangs from the vertical walls of the gorge and is located at an average height of 100 meters above the river. Our trip begins with a departure from Granada to Ardales to reach the starting point of the hiking route, a route guided by an environmental professional. Through trails and gorges, we will discover different ecosystems.

The route lasts approximately 3 hours. At the end, we will have lunch in the Caminito del Rey area to enjoy traditional cuisine. After lunch, transfer back to Granada, Malaga, or Seville (this option is available; please contact us).
