Sacromonte abbey private visit

Description
At the beginning of 1595, with D. Pedro de Castro as Archbishop of Granada, some ovens from the Roman era were discovered on the mountain called Ilipulitano, in which the remains were found with a tomb plate that indicated they corresponded to Cecilio, Martyr and first Bishop. of Illíberis (present-day Granada).
A discovery for which years later, Mount Ilipulitano was recognized as Monte Sacro, Sacromonte…With this fascinating story about Christianity in Eastern Andalusia, we begin the visit with pickup at a hotel or apartment in Granada.
Upon arrival, we begin the visit to the different spaces of the abbey. A little-known place but with an exceptional historical value, we will visit the Holy Caves where the plumbeum books and the remains of the martyr Cecilio were found. We will visit the Cloister, the Collegiate Church, the Venancio Blanco patio, the beautiful Patio of the Stars and the permanent exhibition that the abbey has with a very valuable documentary legacy.
Upon completion, transfer back to Granada
