Snowshoeing by Night: A Northern Lights Adventure

Description
Snowshoeing in the dark winter night? No problemo! Starry skies and a headlight will make it easy to stay on the trail. We start the adventure at Målselv Mountain Village and buckle our snowshoes on and start wandering into the dark night. Along the way your guide will share wonderful facts and stories about the Northern Lights and the local culture. The mountains surrounding Målselv Mountain Village is the perfect place to spot the Northern Lights!
The views towards the northern skies will be open at all times, and you are sure not to miss the Northern Lights! Halfway into our walk we'll light a fire and eat the traditional Norwegian camp fire snack: hotdogs with ketchup and mustard! They will tase extra delicious over the smoky fire. If the night is extra cold, we'll stop by the Aurora Hut at Aurora Sky Point before returning to our starting point.
If you're searching for the perfect place to go Northern Lights hunting, look no further! The Bardufoss Region is located directly below the Aurora Oval, and if there's Northern Lights, you'll see them here. With no light pollution and clear views towards the northern skies, combined with the cold and stable winter climate, the Bardufoss Region is the perfect place for Northern Lights Adventures.
This tour is organized in the period September 1st and April 15th the following year. If your adventure takes place between September and December, there may be little or no snow, and we'll hike by foot.
Book your snowshoe adventure 24 hours before arrival.
We require a minimum of two participants for this experience to be organized.
