Lukla Flight

Lukla is a small Sherpa village settled on 2,800 above sea level where many trekkers make their destination. These days Lukla is popular as trekking junction with many lodging options, shops and trekking luggage to buy or rent.  Lukla is the gateway that leads to the great Khumbu region including the highest Mt. Everest. The place is situated at 900ft and is also the entrance to the Sagarmatha national park. In Kathmandu to Lukla flight, 18 of the highest peaks are visible in the clear weather in which 4 of them are above 8000m.
