PRIVATE AWARDED TOUR TO KNOSSOS PALACE INCLUDING WINE TASTING & PICNIC IN A VINEYARD

Description
Meet your guide at the hotel's reception for your private tour to Heraklion & the Palace of Knossos.
The tour starts with a visit of the palace of Knossos the largest of the “palaces” erected by the Bronze Age Minoan civilization on Crete. It is one of the greatest sites of the Ancient Greek World since it is strongly related with Europe. Our present interactions with Knossos, are the result of the work of Sir Arthur Evans, who excavated the site beginning in 1899. His and later works revealed a highly complex civilization, of which previous material evidence was almost nonexistent.
You will wander around the Palace of King Minos and the Minotaur marveling at the first European Civilization. Leaving the Minoan Palace behind we continue to a beautiful village nearby for a vineyard picnic experience.
Choose a tranquil spot in the heart of the vineyard, under the shadow of the olive trees and become one with nature as you enjoy a guided tasting of 4 different types of wines paired with a premium selection of Cretan cheese and other traditional delicacies.
