Barra de Guaratiba with Burle Marx Farm and Cachaça Distillery House Private Tour

Description
Explore beyond the typical tourist spots and discover the western region of Rio de Janeiro, renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, including beaches and lush mangroves, as well as a rich local cuisine focused on seafood.
Our tour will begin with a visit to Sítio Burle Marx, the former home of the famed landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx, whose innovative style has become a true symbol of Brazil. During this visit, you’ll have the opportunity to admire beautiful gardens filled with exotic plants and flowers, as well as the house and workspaces that Roberto Burle Marx originally used, including other buildings on the property.
Next, we will head to a cachaça distillery, the only one still operating in Rio de Janeiro. Here, you will learn about the process of making this traditional Brazilian spirit, and you’ll have the chance to purchase a bottle of artisanal cachaça as a keepsake.
Continuing our journey, we will explore Barra de Guaratiba, a coastal neighborhood located in the southernmost part of Rio de Janeiro. We will pass by its beach and surrounding mangroves, all set against the backdrop of untouched Atlantic Forest mountains. This area is home to various restaurants and bars that specialize in seafood, where we'll stop for lunch (not included in the tour price).
After your meal, we will return to your accommodation along a scenic route that showcases the beautiful coastline of the city.
