EXTREME Aurora Tour - 8 - 10h for higher chance of success and able to drive farther - Dinner and snacks included.

This is the EXTREME tour, the reason we came up woth this is that sometimes it is cloudy in and around Reykjavik within 2 hours driving distance and then we are forced to cancel the tour, because we do not want people to go out if the chances are very low. 

This Tour on the other hand is the extreme option, and the only option like this in Reykjavik. We will pick you up at 5pm and drop you off at 1-3am. we can drive to Akureyri and back and anywhere in between. This option gives us the ability to go and see the Aurora when it is active in the regions we normally are not able to go to due to time constraints and hence, we might be able to operate the tour due to the clouds being clear in different regions of Iceland. We are also able to go to places like Kirkjufell or other Iconic locations and do photography all night long. This tour is more expensive because the Driver/Guide/Photographer will need a higher pay for the much longer drive as well as costs increase with more driven kilometers and food for you. We will supply lamb soup and for vegetarians Bean soup, both are traditional Icelandic foods. 

We have great cameras to capture high definition pictures that you can then print out after a tour where we get lucky and spot the Aurora! We are also professional photographers and we will be able to make the moment enjoyable.

In order to make the excursion more fun and to live up to the name Aurora Viking we have Viking weapons and outfits sourced at a local museum to play with and take night time pictures which sometimes come out really nicely.

If no lights are spotted on a northern lights tour you can join us again another day for free. Just notify us by sending an email to info@auroraviking.com before 12:00 the following day to make a re-booking (subject to availability).

If luck does not favor us on the first night and you rebook the experience, you must show up for the tour or notify us with at least 24 hours notice that you will not be able to make it. If you do not show up for your rebooked tour the unlimited retry option is forfeit.
