Limassol: Troodos, Kykkos Monastery, Omodos and Winery Private Tour

Description

Our  private tour takes us through the picturesque Troodos Mountains, known for lush forests and fresh air. At the foot lies Omodos, a charming village with cobbled streets and the Timios Stavros Monastery, home to a relic of the Holy Cross.

We will visit Pedoulas and Prodromos villages before heading to the famous Kykkos Monastery, founded in the 11th century. One of the richest monasteries in Cyprus, it houses the revered Virgin Mary icon, said to be painted by St. Luke. The monastery offers breathtaking views of the countryside.

Nearby, we will visit the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios on Mount Throni (1,318m), overlooking Kykkos Monastery (1,140m). His final resting place offers stunning views of Cyprus and is a key pilgrimage site.

We will also visit at a winery to taste Commandaria, Zivania, and other local wines.

On the way back to Limassol we will stop at the Birthplace of Aphrodite - this is one of the most stunning places on the coast of Cyprus, where and for a good reason, Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam. It is believed that bathing in these waters prolongs youth and beauty. You will have chance to make nice photos of beautiful sunset
