Ponta Delgada: Sete Cidades Half-Day Shore Excursion

Join an excursion to Sete Cidades, one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal. Start your drive from the cruise port and go uphill through the beautiful scenery. Make a stop at the Pico do Carvão viewpoint to enjoy one of the best views over the island.  See the Lagoa do Canário and the viewpoint next to it. From here, have an amazing first eye contact with the Sete Cidades caldera and see the most beautiful lakes of it (Rasa lake, Santiago lake, and the twin lakes).  Head to the Vista do Rei viewpoint, from where you can admire the most famous perspective over the twin lakes of Sete Cidades. Next, drive to the Sete Cidades settlement next to the twin lakes and explore the most interesting spots near the lake.  On the way back, pass by the viewpoint of Escalvado, allowing you to see the Mosteiros settlement placed on a lava delta formation, before returning to Ponta Delgada and your cruise ship, or enjoy free time in the town, and make your own way back to the ship.
