Antigua Villages Tour: Discover Culture, History & Local Flavors by ATV

Description
Step beyond Antigua’s charming streets and uncover the cultural gems of the Panchoy Valley on this six-hour ATV adventure. Designed for those eager to experience Guatemala beyond the usual tourist routes, this tour takes you through vibrant villages, rich history, and local artisan workshops.
Your adventure begins in San Juan del Obispo, where you'll visit Chocolate Antigua to learn about the chocolate-making process and enjoy delicious tastings. Next, you’ll stop by a family-run wine shop to sample artisanal Nispero wine, a unique regional specialty. Then, take in a breathtaking panoramic view of Antigua before heading to San Pedro de la Huertas, home to a renowned jade factory where you’ll witness the transformation of raw jade into exquisite jewelry.
Continuing the journey, you’ll explore Ciudad Vieja, Guatemala’s first capital city, where you’ll visit the oldest cathedral in Central America (built in 1534) and experience a hands-on tortilla-making demonstration in a local market. From there, we head to San Antonio Aguas Calientes, famous for its vibrant textile museum and artisan market. Here, you can browse and purchase handmade garments, crafts, and souvenirs while admiring the impressive backdrop of the Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes.
Before returning to Antigua, we stop in San Pedro El Panorama to indulge in a Guatemalan culinary experience. Enjoy a sample of traditional Ceviche and sip on the locally famous Picositas drink—an unforgettable way to wrap up your village exploration.
