Half-day Shore Excursion in Genoa from Genoa's port

Description

Walk through the grandest historical center in Europe, let yourself be guided through the "caruggi", the typical narrow streets of the ancient city. You start from Piazza De Ferrari, with the Carlo Felice Opera House. Within walking distance are the Ducal Palace, the former seat of the city government, and the Chiesa del Gesù, a rich Baroque church. A short distance away is the medieval Porta Soprana, Columbus's house, and the cathedral, a splendid Romanesque and Gothic church where tradition has it that the Holy Grail is still preserved. In the surrounding area, you can discover San Matteo, a typical example of a Genoese patrician residence which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
