El Escorial and Valley of the Fallen Private Tour From Madrid

Description

Join us on a half-day excursion full of history and culture. We will leave Madrid in a comfortable bus with an official guide and head towards the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

During the journey, our guide will introduce us to the history and context of the monastery, built in the 16th century by Philip II. Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour of the different rooms of the complex, such as the Royal Palace, the Basilica, and the Pantheon of Kings. We will be able to admire the austere and magnificent architecture of the monastery, as well as its impressive works of art, such as paintings by El Greco and Titian.

After visiting the Escorial, we will go to the Valley of the Fallen, a monumental complex built in the mountains of Madrid to commemorate the fallen in the Spanish Civil War. We will visit the Basilica, an impressive construction excavated in the rock, and the outer esplanade, where there is a huge cross 150 meters high.
