Dairy Farm Tour in the Apulian Countryside!

Description

Discover Puglia's dairy traditions with a tour of a family-run traditional farm. Learn about the productive life of zero-mile cheeses and see how they are made.

After a 1.5-hour drive from Bari, you will join a guided tour of a stable and a dairy, where expert hands transform milk into dairy delights.

Visit a real farm run by 4 generations of farmers and listen to your expert guides explain the breeding techniques. Then, explore the cattle barn, milking parlor, dairy, and cheese maturing rooms.

Take part in a mozzarella and burrata production class and learn all about Puglia's artisanal cheeses with the help of our expert cheesemaker guide.

End your tour with a tasting of fresh milk products (mozzarella, burrata, stracciatella, ricotta, canestrato, caciocavallo), cured meats, taralli and focaccia accompanied by a glass of local wine and dessert.

The group tour is generally in English but our guides also speak Spanish and French.

The farm tour lasts from 2 to 3 hours.
