Rice is the seed of the grass species Oryza sativa (Asian rice) or Oryza glaberrima (African rice). As a cereal grain, it is the most widely consumed staple food for a large part of the world’s human population, especially in Asia. Usually, all trekkers who visit Nepal they say Dal, BHAT power 24 hours but only few travelers know how the Bhat (rice) is planted in Nepal. With the advent of monsoon, Ropai (Paddy Planting) is a very important occasion in the agriculture calendar of Nepal. In Nepal, the large portion of economics is dominated by agriculture & tourism. The month of Ashad (Mid-June) – Bhadra (Mid-September) is considered as the best season for rice planting & is harvested in Kartik(mid-October) – Mangsir (mid-December). Both planting & harvesting season is celebrated & pedestal throughout the farming community with food, Drinks & merrymaking.  Asare (Typical Nepali agriculture Songs) are sung, pleasantries exchanged and family bonds renewed.
