Just like the electors in Hanover - Ride in the original Venetian gondola in the Herrenhausen Gardens

Description

Even if you can't believe it at first, riding in Venetian gondolas has a tradition in Herrenhausen.

The Electors had rented the Ca Foscari directly on the Grand Canal for many years.
Especially over the winter, Venice was the residence for many weeks.

The good thing was that two beautiful gondolas were part of the inventory.

Therefore, it was only a small step to have their own gondolas rowed in Herrenhausen for the courtly society of the Elector on the Graft.

The Elector's last gondolier received up to 108 Thaler annually until his death in January 1721.

An old but well-maintained gondola from Venice and flagship of the rowing club Azzurro e.V. in Hamburg; freshly inspected by the ship expert and approved by the Waterways Office...
The floating Rolls Royce of the Venetians, who lived in gilded marble palaces, has been in Hamburg, the Venice of the North, for many years and is often rowed quickly with up to 4 rowers in the club.

We finance a portion of the maintenance costs, mooring fees, and, when possible, even a portion of the travel expenses for regatta participation in Italy through guest rides.
Your gondolier Carlo is trained in Venice, has been allowed to row with the gondola on the Grand Canal since 2009, has occasionally been first across the finish line at regattas since 2021, and enjoys talking about gondolas in Venice and Hanover.
