1. Arrival at Pecorino Farm - Cheese and wine tasting with affettati (10:30 am)
VISIT TO THE CHEESE AND WINE FARM FOR TASTING
During the farm visit, you can see firsthand what it means to live a peasant life here in Val d'Orcia today. The tour includes tasting of raw milk cheeses and wine at the table.
2. Arrival in Pienza (12:30 pm)
Free time for lunch at a restaurant with a breathtaking view.
Founded in the 15th century by Pope Pius II, who wanted to transform his hometown into an ideal Renaissance city, Pienza is known for its well-preserved Renaissance architecture.
The city has narrow cobblestone streets, picturesque squares, and beautiful historic buildings, such as the Cathedral of Pienza and the Piccolomini Palace.
In addition to its stunning architecture, Pienza is also famous for its pecorino cheeses, especially the aged pecorino, which is one of the most appreciated Italian cheeses. Visitors can taste and buy local cheeses in various shops and cheese dairies in Pienza.
The city also offers stunning views of the Tuscan landscape, with green hills, vineyards, and olive groves stretching to the horizon. Strolling through the streets of Pienza and enjoying the natural beauty around is a truly enchanting experience.
3. Val D'Orcia : Stop at a strategic point and beautiful on the winding roads with cypresses of Val D'Orcia to take beautiful photos
4. Capella Vitaleta (3:00 pm)
Capella Vitaleta is an iconic symbol of Tuscany. The small chapel, built in the 18th century, is situated in a picturesque landscape, surrounded by gentle hills and cypresses, creating a setting that represents the essence of Tuscan rural beauty. The image of the chapel is often associated with the Val d'Orcia region, which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its stunning and preserved landscape.
Next to the Chapel, there is an Italian bar where you can enjoy a drink while admiring the breathtaking landscape. (unique and indescribable experience)
5. Return with arrival at (6:00 pm) - We will conclude our tour wherever you prefer: At your hotel or Piazzale Michelangelo for a beautiful sunset, or at Florence's largest shopping mall, I Gigli.
