Try Ice Climbing & Snowshoeing in Pyhä Lapland

Description

Begin your winter journey at 11:30 with a Scenic Snowshoeing tour to the top of Pyhä Fell, riding the PyhäExpress chairlift (weather permitting) into a breathtaking world of snowy silence. Your guide will teach you the basics of snowshoeing and guide you across the open fell, where windswept snow and frosted trees create a magical Arctic setting. Capture fairytale-like trees, glowing winter skies, and panoramic views over Pyhä-Luosto National Park – this is a photographer’s dream!

In case of exceptionally strong winds or low visibility, the tour will take place lower down the fell, within the sheltered forests of the equally enchanting Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The tour can be tailored to suit your preferences, ensuring an unforgettable experience. It is also suitable for families – snowshoes for kids are available!

After snowshoeing and a lunch break (meal not included), let's meet again at 16:00 and gear up for your first-ever ice climb at the spectacular Tajukangas Ice Fall. Just a short walk from the Hotel Pyhätunturi, this 20-meter frozen wall offers a true taste of adventure. Your guide will show you the ropes – literally – and help you safely climb to new heights. No experience needed, just a spark of curiosity and a bit of spirit! Between climbs, warm up by the bonfire with hot berry beverage and take in the icy beauty around you.

Whether you're chasing Arctic views or vertical ice, this beginner-friendly combo is your gateway to Lapland’s wild side.
