About the Blue Cave
The Blue Cave, or Blue Grotto, is a stunning natural wonder located on the peninsula Lustica. Known for blue light, the cave's interior is illuminated by sunlight filtering through an underwater entrance, creating an ethereal, glowing effect. This phenomenon is most striking on sunny days, when the water transforms into vibrant shades of azure and turquoise.
Accessible by boat only, Blue Cave attracts visitors with its magical atmosphere and crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming and exploring. It's one of the most famous attractions along Montenegro's beautiful Adriatic coastline.
About Mamula island
Mamula Island is a small, uninhabited islet located at the entrance of the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. Its most notable feature is the 19th-century fortress that occupies the island, built by the Austro-Hungarian Empire to guard the strategic waters of the Adriatic.
The fortress, often referred to as "Mamula Fort," has a distinctive circular shape and was used as a military prison during World War II. Today, island is private and on the island is luxury hotel. Despite this, Mamula remains a captivating spot for history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
About Submarine tunnel
Montenegro is home to three secretive Cold War-era submarine tunnels, built by the Yugoslav military in 1970s to shelter submarines from potential attacks. Located primarily along the Adriatic coast, these tunnels, such as the one near Tivat, were carved into cliffs and designed for covert operations.
Though no longer in use, they remain intriguing historical landmarks, offering a glimpse into the region's military past.
About island Our Lady of the Rocks
Our Lady of the Rocks is a man-made island in the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro, renowned for its picturesque setting and historic significance. The island was created by local sailors over centuries, who placed rocks in the bay after each successful voyage.
At its center stands a beautiful church, built in the 17th century, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The island is a popular tourist destination, known for its stunning views, charming chapel, and the art collection inside, including a famous painting by the Venetian artist Tripo Kokolja.
