SICILIAN VILLAGES: OIL & RICOTTA TASTING WITH LUNCH

This excursion will take you to discover the naturalistic part of Sicily. The itinerary begins with a visit to the Capuchin Convent in the village of Francavilla di Sicilia, famous for the internal production of essential oils. Our excursion will continue with the discovery of the beautiful Etna village of Castiglione di Sicilia. Walk through the beautiful streets, small tasting of local cheeses and visit to the Lauria Castle which dominates the entire village of Castiglione with a spectacular view of Etna. Continue to a small farmhouse where we will have the opportunity to do a tasting of extra virgin olive oil accompanied by homemade bread. Subsequently we will continue with the ricotta tasting, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the traditional method of ricotta production which has been handed down from father to son for generations. Lunch and drinks included (¼ local wine and ½ water per person). Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
