- Sumiyoshi Shrine
Featuring splendid stone walls donated by Kitamae ship merchants and impressive 5-meter-tall stone lanterns. There are remnants of power stones where the strong Okinakishi used to compete in strength. Visitors pray here before boarding.
- Jodo Temple
Known for its main hall and pagoda being national treasures. From the Jodojiyama Mountain behind, with an elevation of 178.5m, you can admire the panoramic view of the sacred ground of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism leading to Jodo Temple's inner sanctuary.
- Onomichi Bridge / Shin-Onomichi Bridge
Japan's first cable-stayed bridge. A valuable bridge that pioneered the construction of cable-stayed bridges across Japan.
The Shin-Onomichi Bridge is the first in the country to experimentally adopt a dehumidification system that circulates dry air instead of painting for anti-rust treatment on the interior of the box girder. Both bridges mark a solid step towards further advancement in bridge engineering technology.
- Seto Inland Sea's Many Islands
Passing through the Onomichi Waterway, you can overlook the numerous islands floating in the Seto Inland Sea.
With luck, you may be able to see the Shikoku Mountain Range and even encounter a "sunameri" phenomenon.
- High-Speed Tornado Turn
Experience the full potential of high-speed RIB boats receiving purification in the sea breeze through high-speed turns.
- Itsukushima Shrine
The grand torii gate and stone lanterns that can be visited from the sea are worth seeing.
Itsukushima Daimyojin is a deity where a goddess, her husband, and their children are united. Visit for safety at sea, as well as for matchmaking and fertility prayers.
Those who cannot participate alone, or children under 6 years old can participate alone (up to one per adult aged 18 or older).
