Chapel of the Princes (Cappella dei Principi)
Baroque‐style mausoleum built in the 17th century under Cosimo I.
Octagonal domed room (c. 59 m high), lavishly inlaid with semi‑precious stones and marble by the Opificio delle Pietre Dure (hard‑stone workshops founded in 1588).
Houses six grand ducal sarcophagi; only two statues were completed of Ferdinando I and Cosimo II in bronze by Pietro Tacca
