2-Day Varanasi Tour with Sarnath & Ramnagar Fort

Day 1 : Arrival in Varanasi – Sarnath, BHU & Evening Ganga Aarti.

On arrival, you will be picked up from your preferred location in Varanasi (Airport, Railway Station, or Hotel) and transferred to your hotel. After some relaxation, proceed for an excursion to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after enlightenment. Highlights include:

• Dhamek Stupa – The grand structure marking Buddha’s first teachings.
• Chaukhandi Stupa – Built to commemorate Buddha’s meeting with his first disciples.
• Mulagandha Kuti Vihar – Renowned for serene surroundings and frescoes depicting Buddha’s life.
• Sarnath Archaeological Museum (Closed on Fridays) – Home to priceless Buddhist relics including the Lion Capital of Ashoka, India’s national emblem.

Return to Varanasi in the afternoon. Spend some leisure time at your hotel or explore local bazaars, known for Banarasi silk sarees, brassware, handicrafts and street food (Optional).

In the evening, witness the grand Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, where priests perform rituals with oil lamps, incense, and chanting. The illuminated ghats create a truly spiritual atmosphere.

Day 2 : Varanasi Sightseeing To Ramnagar Fort, Temples & Departure.

After breakfast, cross the Ganges to visit the Ramnagar Fort, an 18th-century riverside palace that once served as the residence of the Maharaja of Banaras. Explore its museum, showcasing vintage cars, royal costumes, manuscripts, ornate weapons, and antique furniture. The fort also offers stunning views of the river.

Continue sightseeing with visits to Varanasi’s iconic temples:

• Kashi Vishwanath Temple – One of the 12 Jyotirlingas, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
• Bharat Mata Temple – Unique temple featuring a large marble relief map of India.
• Gopal Mandir – Built at the site where Tulsidas composed the Ramcharitmanas, with marble walls inscribed with verses from the Ramayana.
