Private Cruise: Murano and Torcello

Description

Board our cruiser Bora to escape from the crowd of Venice and explore the most famous Venetian islands. Murano, world known for its glass blowing art. Then proceed to Torcello, the first human settlement in the lagoon established around the 5th century. It's interesting to watch the canal banks that have been reconstructed as they used to be at the very beginning, with poles all around these small islands to keep the ground. The major monuments in Torcello are the little cozy byzantine church of Santa Fosca with its beautiful portico, and the bigger Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, with its famous mosaic that inspired Dante Alighieri for his Divine Comedy. Not to forget the large Baptistery (now visible only few ruins) positioned right in front of the basilica and, if you have the chance, get on top of the campanile (bell tower) for a beautiful view of the entire lagoon.
