Tokyo: Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Workshop

Description

•Shape Raw Wood into Your Own Chopsticks

Start with choosing the type of wood you want to craft into chopsticks.  Using a traditional kanna (Japanese hand plane), transform the wood into elegant, functional chopsticks. Feel the grain, shape the surface, and experience the joy of working with your hands.

•Step-by-Step, Hands-On Crafting

From a rectangular wooden stick to a molded and polished finish, each step is guided and beginner-friendly. You’ll learn basic woodworking techniques in a relaxed and supportive setting — no prior skills needed!

•Choose from a Variety of Beautiful Woods

Experiment with different types of Japanese wood, each with unique texture, scent, and color. Two types are free; premium woods are available for a small upgrade.
