2-Day Cat Ba National Park Trekking & Ha Long Bay Cruise

Day 1: Trekking Through Rainforest to Viet Hai Village

(9am to 5pm)

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Cat Ba Island. Head to Cat Ba National Park and trek through the mountain rainforest and valley to Frog Lake. Along the way, spot wild animals like squirrels, snakes, thousands of butterflies, and even the rare Cat Ba Langur (white-headed monkey).

Arrive at Viet Hai Village, take a rest, and enjoy a lunch of local home-cooked food. Spend the afternoon hiking around the village, meeting locals, and experiencing their way of life. Enjoy a fish massage at a natural stream, then ride a bicycle past rice fields and valleys to Viet Hai Pier.

Board a boat and cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Check into your floating homestay in the middle of the bay. In the evening, savor a dinner of traditional Vietnamese food. Opt for a plankton excursion by kayak (not included).

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Ha Long Bay Cruise

(7am to 5pm)

Wake up to the dawn and breathe in the fresh air on the bay. Enjoy breakfast and prepare to explore more of the bay’s beauty. Get picked up from the homestay and cruise to a different part of Lan Ha Bay, then pass the border into Ha Long Bay.

See limestone formations with different shapes and sizes, such as Pen Islet, Sailing Islet, and Frog Islet. Pause at Cam Lagoon for swimming. Savor a delicious set menu lunch on the boat.

Continue cruising to the most beautiful areas, visiting less-accessed spots for exotic scenery. Take part in outdoor activities like kayaking through caves and lagoons. Visit a local fish farm, and on some days, stop in front of Monkey Island ( optional). Swim to the beach or relax on the boat, enjoying the landscape with snacks and tea before returning to Cat Ba Town
