An extraordinary daytrip, see the Fjords and our famous waterfalls.
Full day trip with Tourist-Class minibus/midibus and english speaking driverguide.
Join us on this daytrip in one of our high standard mini or midibuses (depending of number of participants)
TRIP:

Program:
Start at
09.00 a.m. (Exactly).
Departure from the Tourist information of Bergen, at the Bergen Fishmarket
At approx
09.00 we start our trip out of Bergen and towards the magnificant
Hardangerfjord. There will be plenty opportunities to get that great photo You
are wanting to get from Your holiday in Norway.
STOP: 10:00
FOSSEN BRATTE
(Toilet at
sight) A waterfall a bit away from the mainroad. Opportunity to exit the bus to
get some nice shots of the waterfall.
We then
continue towards the Hardangerfjord, passing over the area known as Kvamskogen,
a recreational are where Norwegians have their cabins, and love to spend the
winter time skiing in the varoius ski resorts in the area. After passing
Kvamskogen we descent towards the village of Norheimsund.
STOP: 10:50
STEINDSALSFOSSEN
(Toilet at sight)
An amazing waterfall, there is a path that You can walk from the parking lot and up to the
waterfall. The path actually goes in behind the waterfall itself, so You will
suddenly find Yourself litterally two feet away from the water pouring down
just in front of You. A one of a kiind experience!
We then drive on towards the Hardangerfjord itself, passing by the villages of
Norheimsund and Oystese. From the village of Norheimsund and onward we will
have the spectacular Hardangerfjord on our right hand side as we follow the
road towards the village of Granvin.
STOP:
STEINSTO 12:00
Short stop at Steinsto fruit & cake sale. (Seasonally open)
This is an opportunity to buy locally produced fruit from the Steinsto fruit farm in
Hardanger.
Then onwards for just 10-12 minutes along the fjord.
STOP: 12:45
HARDANGERFJORD
Viewpoint along the fjord, Tyrvefjora
(Toilet at sight)
We stop for a while at a beautiul viewpoint along the Hardangerfjord, a really good
opportunity for photograps. Some of the pictures included in our description is
from this spot.
Then we drive on towards the village of Granvin, before we then turn west again and
head towards Voss.
STOP: 13:30
SKJERVFOSSEN
(Seasonal stop, road is not open the whole year)
We take off from the main road and drive the narrow and curvy road towards Skjervet, where
we will do a stop at Skjervsfossen waterfall. Depending on traffic we sometimes are so
lucky that we can stop in the middle of the road, having the waterspray wash our bus.
Then continue towards the village of Voss.
STOP: 14:30
VOSS
Here our driver will stop and You will have 45 minutes time on Your own to explore the village of
Voss, with all it's small perky shops, reaturants, cafeterias, Voss Gondol, the old stone church and so on.
Good chanche to grab a bite to eat, or just wander around the village for a while.
Afther Voss we start the "transport leg" back to Bergen.
This is about 1h 15mins from Bergen.
Lean back, relax and take in the impressions of the day.
Take a nap, or enjoy the view appearing in between the about fifty tunnels we will pass
through on our way back to Bergen.

This tour we have had on offer for many years as a private tour, with huge success.
From the season 2020 we are offering this trip as "single ticket" trip with our luxury midi- and minubuses, making this breathtaking experience available for
everyone.
We need a minimum of ten participants to perform this trip, if minimum is not reached we will offer the opprotunity to change date or give a full refund.

Know before you go
Check the weather forecast, even if it is sunny and warm in Bergen we might experience different weather along the Hardangerfjord.
Go to www.yr.no and search for Norheimsund, this will give You an idea of the weather along the route, this will give You an idea if it is benificial to bring extra clothes for Your daytrip. Good walking shoes is something we really recommend, walking close to the waterfalls means walking on gravel roads or pathways, not the best place for high heels :-)
