Bali Trip: Countryside Cycling Tour

This day tour and bicycle journey will take you far away from the regular tourist itinerary and deep within the true Bali. Take your chance to join a truly unique experience to see a whole new side of the wonderful Balinese culture and countryside.

This bicycle tour takes you far away from the regular tourist itinerary and off the beaten track into rural Bali where you will get to see the customs and age-old traditions of the Balinese people.

The tour will begin when you are whisked away from your accommodation by air-conditioned van and driven up to Kintamani for breakfast. The restaurant features a most exquisite view of the region's active volcano mountain Batur and lake Batur.

After breakfast, your friendly guides will then take you on an amazing ride through the beautiful Balinese countryside where you will see some spectacular views. Ride through an incredible 70 acre bamboo forest and see traditional craftsmen at work, as well as farmers tending to their rice fields en route.

The ride also includes a visit to the magical Balinese Traditional Village Penglipuran. Penglipuran is a very traditional village that has its own unique culture and way of life.

The village is a special place of interest and amazing beauty in Bali. All of the houses have been built from north to the south with a nearly identical traditional entrance gate to each family compound.

As you ride through timeless small villages you will see the smiles of Balinese children and hear friendly greetings from local villagers. Then, the next stop on our journey will be at the magnificent Pura Kehen.

You will be able to enter the temple to see it in all its splendor. If, by any chance, there is a ceremony taking place, you will be invited to witness the colourful event while our guides explain to you the significance of the ritual.

From there, you'll be taken for a short walk through the rice paddies to see villagers planting and harvesting rice (you can even join in!). The next stop will be at a local market in the local town of Bangli where you can see the incredible array of exotic fruit, spices, and vegetables for sale.

After the bike tour has finished you'll be invited to an authentic restaurant in the middle of the rice paddies, where you will be served a magnificent lunch. You'll be among a small Balinese plantation where you can learn about the medicinal uses and cultural importance of the variety of local plants.

Also, learn about many of the spices that are commonly used in cooking, as well as different tropical fruits growing in their natural environment. With the friendly and fun team, you will definitely have an unforgettable experience, one you will always remember.
